The overnight outbound desk: one Bot, many inboxes
Sales outbound is the poster-child Grok Bot job. Research accounts while you sleep, score intent, draft in your voice, leave a review list. You sell the system, or you run it for clients.

xAI launched Grok Bot on 11 Aug 2026 as “AI teammates that finish the work.” The first example they published was sales outbound: research accounts overnight, score contacts, draft email and LinkedIn in the seller’s voice, and leave a review list.
That is a job description you can sell. Not “I will spam 2,000 people.” A reviewed, in-voice, in-context sequence that a human still sends.
Two ways to get paid
- Run it for yourself. Keep the pipeline. This is the full-time path if you already sell something.
- Run it for a book of founders who hate prospecting. Charge a monthly desk fee plus a small cut of booked calls. This is part-time until it is not.
The desk, as a product
- 1
Write the Bot’s charter
ICP, disqualifiers, tools (X, the web, CRM, mail), and a hard rule: nothing leaves the draft folder without a human.
- 2
Feed it voice
Twenty of the client’s best emails. The Bot should sound like them on a Tuesday, not like a launch announcement.
- 3
Define the morning stack
10 researched accounts, 15 drafts, 3 “this company just did X” triggers. That is a sellable unit of work.
- 4
Charge for the review hour, not the tokens
You are selling a junior salesperson who never sleeps, plus your taste. Price the outcome: qualified conversations on the calendar.
Do not automate spam. Platforms punish it, buyers hate it, and it will torch the only reputation you have. The money is in research-plus-drafts that a human is proud to send.
