Compare two quotes without drowning in the fine print

Two used cars, two lawn quotes, two laptops. Paste both. Tell Grok your real constraints — budget, time, what you will not do. Read the table. You still pick.

Simple AI use is allowed to be a table. Paste quote A and quote B. Write the constraints in your own words: “I have $900, I need it this month, I will not finance.” Ask Grok to compare only on those lines, and to mark anything it cannot see.

The mistake is asking “which is better?” That invites a sales pitch from the model. The useful ask is “which matches the list I wrote.” You still choose. Later, a realtor or a shop owner will pay for that same list.

  1. 1

    Write your constraints first

Budget, date, must-haves, deal-breakers. If it is not on your list, Grok should not “optimize” for it.

  2. 2

    Paste both quotes whole

Missing a fee is how people get hurt. If a page is a photo, shoot the whole page.

  3. 3

Ask for a match, not a winner

“Make a table against my list. Flag what is missing. Do not pick for me.”
