5 min · weekend · Free today. A $50 recap favor if someone asks twice.
Paste a long thread. Get the five decisions.
A group chat, a work email chain, a PTA thread. Ask Grok for the decisions, owners, and open questions. You still check names. This is the simplest “AI at work” move there is.

Most people drown in a long thread and then ignore it. The simple AI use is this: copy the thread, paste it into Grok, and ask for five things only — decisions, owners, dates, open questions, and anything that looks like a promise. Then you read it like a human who was in the room.
You are not installing a Bot. You are not “automating the office.” You are getting a first pass so you can answer faster. If a neighbor runs a shop or a team, this is the favor you can later invoice.
- 1
Paste the real thread
Leave the names if they are people who already know you have the email. Strip anything private that is not yours to share.
- 2
Ask for a tight recap
“List decisions, owners, dates, and open questions. Do not invent a yes. Flag anything that looks like money or legal.”
- 3
Check the names
Grok will guess. You will catch the nickname, the joke, the thing nobody wrote down. That catch is the job.
