Teach Grok in public and open an X Money tip jar
X Money lets people send dollars to anyone on X. If you teach Grok and Grok Bots in the open, a tip jar is residual-ish income on top of the work you were going to publish anyway.
X Money is rolling through the United States as a wallet inside X: send money to any user, instantly, with no platform fee on those sends. Combined with a Tips control on a profile, it is the cleanest “if this helped, send a few dollars” loop Grok educators have had.
This is not a business by itself. It is a second pocket on a teaching habit. The first pocket is still clients, templates, and cohorts.
What to teach so people actually tip
- Short, stealable charters: copy, paste, run.
- Before/after of a Bot that was too broad, then narrowed.
- Access and pricing honesty: who can use Grok Bot this week, who should wait.
- A weekly office-hours post: “reply with the job, I will sketch a Bot.”

Turn on X Money and Tips
In X, open Money, then Send/Request. On your profile, enable Tips if it is offered in your region.

End useful posts with one line: “If you used this charter, tip @stebly — or the teacher you learned it from.” Specific beats cute.

Tips die when every reply is a funnel. Give the small thing away. Sell the install and the cohort.
